All Buyers and Sellers must be verified through biometric digital identity, mobile/digital driver licences (in certain states) or a bank account to complete a transaction.

All vehicles on AutoSettle are verified to ensure that the person selling the vehicle is the authorised owner and it is not stolen, written off or has existing finance owing. We also provide a Personal Properties Securities Register (PPSR) snapshot.

Buyers can pay using all payment methods in Australia including PayTo, PayID, Debit and Credit Card (for deposits) – all managed via our secure proprietary AutoSettle Wallet. And there’s no need to visit the bank.

AutoSettle handles all state and territory statutory forms which are completed online using verified data to make transferring registration quick and easy. We also provide eSigned forms to state registries that accept eSignatures.

    • Are there eligibility requirements for the AutoSettle Beta program?

    To be eligible for the AutoSettle Beta Release you must be 18 years of age and hold a current Australian Driver Licence. You must be selling your car privately or buying from a person selling their car privately.

    • I am a Buyer – can I use Finance to pay for the vehicle via AutoSettle?

    No – in the Beta Release we will only support Buyers that are using cash (in their bank account) to pay for their vehicle.  In future versions of AutoSettle, we will allow Buyers to pay for their vehicle using a vehicle loan through any Lender or Broker.

    • Are there any geographic restrictions on the AutoSettle Beta Release

    The Beta program is only able to support Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The official public launch of the platform will cover all states and territories of Australia.

    • Do I have to pay to use AutoSettle Beta?

    There are no fees associated with using AutoSettle Beta Release.

    • On which marketplaces can I list my car?

    You can list you car on a marketplace of your choice (including Facebook Marketplace, Carsales, Gumtree, OnlyCars, JustCars, Drive, AutoTrader and Country Cars).

    • Can I join AutoSettle Beta if I haven’t yet found a buyer for my car?

    Yes. We recommend that you join AutoSettle Beta when you list your vehicle. That way, as soon as you find a buyer, you can move to AutoSettle to safely and easily complete the transaction. This helps sell your vehicle faster, as you are showing potential buyers that you and your vehicle have been verified.

    • Can I join AutoSettle Beta if I haven’t yet found a car to buy?

    Yes. If your intention is to find a car to buy on a marketplace and purchase during February or March, you are eligible to join the AutoSettle Beta program. That way, you will be ready to move to AutoSettle to complete verification checks and start negotiating as soon as you find a car you are serious about.

    • Once I join AutoSettle, do I have to complete a sale?

    No. There is no obligation to proceed with a sale once you have joined and started a transaction on AutoSettle.

    • Will I have support during the program?

    Yes. You can access support throughout the program via Chat, Email and at the last resort, via Telephone.  We also have a comprehensive Knowledge Base.
