Yes. You must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current Australian driver licence. AutoSettle currently supports private vehicle transactions, meaning you are selling your car privately or buying from a person who is selling their car privately.
AutoSettle is currently available for supported private vehicle transactions in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland because they are the current states where AutoSettle can facilitate registry transfers on your behalf. We are currently expanding registry coverage to all Australian states and territories.
For supported private vehicle transactions, AutoSettle fees are either $34.95 for each party, deducted at settlement or alternatively Sellers can pay $69 up front.
Your car can be listed on any marketplace, including Facebook Marketplace, Carsales, Gumtree, OnlyCars, JustCars, Drive, AutoTrader and Country Cars.
Yes. We recommend joining AutoSettle when you list your vehicle, and we will perform all checks, and automate the creation of the vehicle profile on AutoSettle. That way, when you find a buyer, you can invite them to AutoSettle to complete verification, payment and settlement more safely and easily. AutoSettle helps give buyers confidence that you and your vehicle have been verified.
No. There is no obligation to proceed with a sale or purchase after joining AutoSettle, and no cost if you do not proceed.

Yes, you can access AutoSettle support through chat and email, with escalation to telephone support where required. You will also have access to the full AutoSettle Knowledge Base to help guide users through the process.

Yes, if your lender deposits funds into your bank account first. AutoSettle currently supports buyers who are paying from available funds in their bank account. In the near future, AutoSettle will also support vehicle finance through participating lenders and brokers where they require payment to be made directly to sellers.
